While chiropractic adjustments may look painful, we can happily confirm that they’re not. Adjustments are gentle movements that realign your spine to the correct position. You may feel a little achy after the adjustment, but this is completely normal. It can take time for your body to get used to this positive change.

Our chiropractors conduct a thorough assessment of your musculoskeletal system to identify the cause of your pain and recommend a plan of care to get you back to health. We treat a variety of conditions including back pain, hip pain, migraines, tennis elbow, knee pain, sciatica, headaches, and frozen shoulder. Your first two appointments will be a Consultation and Report of Findings (both appointments are covered under the Consultation Fee).  In the Consultation, your Chiropractor will assess your condition and complete an in-depth medical history in order to identify the best approach for tackling your complaints and get you back to feeling like your best self again. 

Our chiropractors will then need at least 24 hours to create a bespoke treatment plan for you which will be discussed in the second appointment, the Report of Findings.

Your chiropractor will tell you what is causing your symptoms and make recommendations for care with a personalised plan; setting out your options and the expected timescale for your recovery. If you then decide to take up chiropractic care, this is where your first adjustment will take place. 

There are three phases you will move through as part of your plan of care. Our priority will be to correct and relieve your immediate problems, but we will also be working to stabilis your body and maintain long term wellness long after the initial complaint has been addressed.

Chiropractic adjustment is a procedure in which our Chiropractors use their hands or a small instrument to apply a controlled, sudden force to a spinal joint. The goal of this procedure, also known as spinal manipulation, is to improve spinal motion and improve your body's physical function. The sounds you might hear at your adjustments can seem a little intimidating, but they really are nothing to worry about. They are just pockets of gases that are released when the joints in your spine become more mobile during an adjustment. We can happily confirm that the adjustment itself isn't painful at all, and you might not even hear any pops or cracks, not everyone does. You also don't need to hear anything for you to benefit from the adjustment, it's about the controlled force applied to the spinal joint.

Your first two appointments will be a Consultation and Report of Findings which are half an hour long and take place on different days.

If the cost of treatment isn’t covered by your insurance, treatment prices start at £34 per adjustment (subsidised care plan). We have different payment plans available, which your Chiropractor will go through with you during your Report of Findings.

If you have private health insurance it may cover chiropractic care. Claiming is a straightforward process, and Willow Chiropractic regularly works with many medical health insurance companies such as AXA, Simply Health, and others, so we know exactly what is required.
